The Run Off Period – late February to early May
We hit the swollen rivers and flood plains such as, Shady Camp (Mary river system), South & East Alligator rivers (Kakadu) and the fabulous Daly and Finniss Rivers plus the year round fishing Mecca of Melville Island.
The run off is the most productive & explosive period of the year for Barramundi fishing.
The Dry Season Period – May to September
This is the time of the magnificent Billabongs, such as Corroboree and Hardy’s with their prolific flora and fauna (including Crocodiles ) A photographers heaven but also great fishing for Barramundi, Saratoga, Tarpon. Also a great time for “sight fishing” in Bynoe Harbour, and for the real enthusiast, the unspoilt magnificence of Arnhem Land.
The Build Up Season – October to start of the wet
We can fish areas such as Darwin and Bynoe Harbours, but by far some of the best mixed fishing for this and most other times of year is the fabulous Dundee beach with it’s rivers, reefs and blue water choices. Here we can catch Barramundi, Queen fish, Spanish Mackerel, GTs and Jewfish, something is sure to be on the bite.
